“Corrupted Outlook File”
When you double click to open Outlook you get the message that says Outlook cannot start and cannot open the Outlook window. What happened?
A part of the Outlook profile has become damaged and / or corrupted and needs to be replaced. To do this you will need to copy the current profile and force Outlook to open that one instead. Windows Vista will be the sample OS we will use here, however, the XP directions are similar.
Open the Control Panel and type view 32-bit in the search box, then click the view 32-bit option. Double click Mail and then Show Profiles. Find the profile named Outlook. That should be your profile. Right click it and then select Copy. Then paste it in the same window. Rename the profile, such as Outlookyourname. Click OK. Click the drop down menu below Always use this profile, select your new profile name and click OK.
You should be able to use your Outlook with all your data intact.
