Any system can be compromised. It is up to the end user to routinely update software and change the access codes to their system. A relatively new method of security is face recognition. This is especially helpful for laptop users.
The program will store your image and then use that picture to verify your identity at boot up. Laptops with a built in webcam makes this program a no-brainer. Desktop users will need to have a webcam hooked up and at the same location to work well.
During login the camera scans your image and if it matches the one on file, allows you to log in to the system. You do not need to have a password as the image is the “password.” This can be very useful for those of us who may forget our passwords.
Google Luxand Blink to download the program. Make sure your webcam is active and working prior to installing this software. Other system requirements: Windows Vista or Windows 7, 32 bit OS, minimum of 512 MB Ram and 320×240 camera resolution.
