The issue is a personal one. Outlook will make some of the primary folders bold only when there is unread email in them. For example, the Inbox will become bold when you get new mail. What if the end user wants to have more boxes bold all the time?
To do this you will have to change the properties of the boxes themselves. Open Outlook, (version 2010 is used in this example). Right click on the box you wish to remain bold all the time. Click Properties. On the General tab select the option to “Show total number of items.” That will cause the box to become bold.
