Printing Issue

When you print, scan or copy any document, a line appears at the top of the page, (on the first page only if you print multiple pages), that reads similar to: 

“Get /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1 Host:Localhost”

The cause is a setting that needs to be changed within the Printer settings window. 

The steps to fix this are:

  1. Press the Windows + I keys to open the Settings app.
  2. Go to Bluetooth & Devices, then Printers & scanners.
  3. Scroll down to see the section Related Settings.
  4. Scroll to click Print Server properties.\
  5. Go to Advanced tab and uncheck “Show notifications for local printers.”  Uncheck the option for network printers as well.
  6. Click Apply and Ok.

Print a test page to see if the lines disappear.
