The HP printer you have had forever, or just purchased, does not print at all. When I send a document to the printer nothing happens.
The issue may be as simple as performing a discharge of the printer. To do this:
1) Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.

If these steps didn't solve your problem, we can help. We provide on-site printer setup & repair throughout western Connecticut.
2) Push the power button down for 30 seconds.
3) Plug it back in and try again.
Step two is the actual discharge, so do not hold the power button down for less than 30 seconds.
When you print a document, a second page prints with IPP data at the top. It prints every time. To stop this:
1) Open Settings, then Printers and Scanners. Do not open your printer.
2) Scroll down to Related Settings.
3) Click Printer Server Properties.
4) Click the Advanced Tab.
5) Uncheck the two options to Show Informational Notifications for Local Printers and Show Informational Notifications for Network Printers.
6) Click Apply and OK.
That will stop the second page from printing.
